A pretty productive day today guys, learned some pretty valuable information. Out of all of the social media platforms Facebook and Instagram consecutively I believe they both sit at the pinnacle. I invest majority of my time in terms of marketing into these two platforms as I believe that they are the most effective in gaining exposure on an expansive and limited scale (global and locally) hence being the most versatile. I believe this fits best for what circumstances clients will be situated in the future. Facebook dominates the social media scene and since the Zucc purchased Instagram around 5 years ago, he’s grown it from 30 million users to 600 million. All aside here’s what I’ve learned today about the platform and gaining more exposure for your business.

1. A return engagement rate of above 1% (100 people seen a post 1 person or more liked) is considered a great return. You can use this to monitor the quality of advertisements that you create for yourself or that you do for someone. Usually if you are gaining poor return rates this reflects poor content to your target audience and can be enhanced via a more appealing thumbnail or better copywriting. Not going to lie one of my greatest achievements was a 50% conversion rate on an ad.
2. 3-4pm is when your posts will gain the most exposure based on where your target audience is situated in the world (obviously take into considerations time zones). 5pm on a Wednesday is peak hour for activity on social medias, I have absolutely no clue why. I read this in an article and even my insights statistics reflected that multiple weeks in a row.
3. Monitor your competition. Even if you don’t have a set strategy into place just monitor what your superior competition is doing and pick out the ways that you can do it better. Find the flaws, reflect on them and do it better. There’s never anything wrong with a leap of faith either. although things do take time. If things are going downhill anyway, if you take a leap of faith you crash and burn so be it you would have wasted more time trying to keep gripped to something that’s not going to work anyway, be creative!
