I have always had the confidence that I have worked in the Services Industry (Technology / System Integration / Telecom) in front line customer facing roles and hence I know how to market services, I know services / solution / concept selling etc. However taking ‘Marketing Services’ course in this Term (VI) made me re-realize that what I know is limited and what I need to know is unlimited. It reaffirmed my belief that ‘Learning is constant’. Thanks to our Professor Dr. Piyush Kumar, Associate Professor of Marketing at Terry College of Business, University of Georgia and thanks to my peers from Section C, Marketing Services for their wonderful participation, there are immense learnings from this course. Thought of sharing few moments of thought with you all
[1] The first learning came when we are asked to look at the statements of Universal Truism, the other way Viz., Service firms should be customer centric, Service firms should focus on customer satisfaction and quality, Employee satisfaction leads to customer satisfaction etc.; We are been asked to pack these notions and keep them aside for time being and have a critical look at:
Why a parameter is important and to what extent is that parameter important?
Does our Business Model demand a divergence-based or a convergence-based management model?
