Oh, you'd find out at speed of light that I have a serious boardshorts problem if we went shopping together, haha!

Some girls love buying shoes, others fall for bags. I can't resist cool surf apparel and accessoires.

Here's why my latest catch is almost perfect!

The magical little black dress

Since Audrey Hepburn's black Givenchy dress, girls know the power of little black dresses.

On land as in the water: black is always right.

And since I have this little surf apparel shopping addiction, I needed to place another order at one of my favourite online shops: www.hurley.com (subsidiary of Nike Inc.).

I ordered the 'Hurley Phantom Beachrider' (elastic boardshorts) and the 'Quick Dry Icon Shirt' (longsleeve).

But now I have one problem with these items.

The shirt is definitely too big.

What I completely forgot is that since I placed my last order on hurley.com I've considerably lost weight.

All that constant surf action led to a more trained body and my rather female curves were converted into well-shaped muscles. So instead of the 'M' I should have rather ordered the 'S' size.

Now one might believe that there is nothing wrong with a comfortable, oversized, floppy shirt. Yet, when it comes to surf suits they have to fit like a glove.

The problem of an oversized surf shirt is that it can't actually fulfill its core functionality: it doesn't keep you warm.

The lycra has to be like a second skin.

Then the water between your skin and the fabric is like a thin layer that slowly starts to adopt your body heat and operates like a natural isolation.

Unfortunately with my floppy shirt that doesn't happen.

So here is my early Christmas wish for Hurley International (Nike, Inc.): May you send a properly sized surf shirt to one of your most loyal ambassadors, pleeeease? :-)

Every sports brand should have their own steemit account!

I mean, we should generally bring more cool brands to the platform. That would be definitely a great plus.

Obviously to me the most interesting ones would be the ones we know from surfing, extreme sports, outdoors and other related fields of interest. I wonder why all these well-known companies still haven't considered steemit as an additional way to monetize their content..?

Maybe today we've done the very first step into the right direction...
