How I made my site known to my niche community

Hello, 

I want to share my story on how I got my niche to see/checkout the site I was building for them. I started working on a site 4 years ago with the concept that each community is different and people need better feature built for their community. I started working a marketplace concept for the community also because my community works a lot like a stock market. People buy  expecting that price will go up. Ebay was the main tool for people to sell but now TCGplayer.com has taken the majority of the vendors. I travel to an event to talk to people about my platform and what I am trying to make for the community. Last year I met with the "Best" Player of the community a player who is known by his accomplishments which are too many for anyone else to match. We talked about my website and he told me about his. My vision always was I will be able to provide the features people need faster than others can come up with the code to give it to the community. His idea was simple but genius, make a "Ranking" with all the events up to date and give players points for their performance. I loved the idea and since he had all the information in his site already it was easy for me to take the data and build the rankings. The day we felt the ranking was ready for him to share it with the community he made a nice post on a big Facebook group. My site got tons of people to check the rankings, sign up, people gave positive feedback and it all engage a lot of good people in the community.  I was really happy with the out come and now I got more people to reach out to me with new ideas and wanting new features for the community. I also want to add to the marketplace a crypto currency since this is global community who will benefit from a crypto currency.
