For me,I prefer cats over dogs because cats are less maintenance. If you provide food and water, they are sorted. If they want your affection, they will come and seek it. Dogs on the other hand, you have to take for regular walks even if it’s early in the morning and the weather is cold. Also you have to pick their poo in plastic bags. That’s enough to put me off 🙈Regarding the litter tray, my cat does his business mostly outside of the house. I don’t know where and no one has complained yet.
I do agree that dogs are more loyal and affectionate, just too much work.
