This is the last I will say on the marriage plebiscite - Kaos1973

This postal survey / vote / whatever seeks to ask you your permission for redefining marriage without defining what marriage is now or what it will be after.

How can anyone make a decision on something as potentially quantum shifting as this without knowing the definition of marriage?

If you believe that marriage is just a paper certificate to hang on the wall, you won't have an issue with anyone having that same piece of paper too.

If you see marriage as the basic building block of our culture. A self contained business unit that produces future citizens. That the marriage vows are the mission statement of that business and the parents as board members are wholly responsible for the quality assurance of the product (the children). That marriage has served the West for centuries and allowed our civilisation to enter space travel and the internet by making the family self supporting and self policing. Allowing society to divert all resources to the betterment of the society as a whole instead of supporting and policing the population.

This is the trick we are being sold: Make a snap emotional decision on undefined terms in order to give our openly corrupt and untrustworthy law makers the keys to the manufacturing process of our culture.

But it's just a piece of paper right? What could possibly go wrong?

Have a look at what has happened in the UK and Canada since passing similar laws. Mother and father will become unusable terms as they discriminate against same sex parents. Mandatory gay and lesbian sex will be taught under sex education.

Do I know what will happen? No

Do you know what will happen? No

Do you really want to take a chance?

It's just a piece of paper right? What could possibly go wrong?
