Mars & Saturn on 2 Cameras - Bluetooth Remote Issues (Nikon ML-L7)

in mars •  6 years ago

Heya Huyk, we have more to write Nikon! (lol)

Testing of the Nikon ML-L7 remote without the hdmi plugged in (because it won't work at all that way). When in Movie Manual Mode during recording, and the MF/AF dial is set to MF, the Zoom does work but the Focus does not. Switching over to M or A Mode, dial still on MF, record, both the zoom & focus DO work. Strange. Hopefully all this can be fixed in a firmware update.

Using 2 cameras tonight, the Nikon P1000 and the Canon 80D with the Tamron 18-400mm lens for Mars in the SSE and Saturn in the Southern sky. It looked like we had 3 blips of light around Saturn and their position appears to be of the Moons. Photos taken on the Canon. Screenshots from the Sky Safari Pro app on the iPad.
