Wing Chun Sparring Session

in martialarts •  7 years ago  (edited)

Wing Chun is a chinese kung fu martial arts which specializes in close combat
I started training Wing Chun about a month and a half ago and it has been a great experience
Even in that short period i learned a lot of things
When Kung Fu movie fight scenese are made the makers mostly use the moves that look cool and good
Not the ones that are practical and useful so i have learned not to relate to martial arts through movies
Today i would like to show you a sparring session between my Sifu (Master) and one of his older disciples

Cool I used to study wing chung its a chinese boxing actually first designed for women but very effective and fast. If there was a teacher locally I would defo start it again but once those limbs are programmed it never leaves you. I had a spar not long back with a boxer who had fought in a few matches and he could not deal with my forward moving and parry motion so im about to do some conventional boxing because of my speed. Keep it up. Be like water....... :)

Thank you really interesting facts mate

I've done wing chun with several different lineages a little over 20 years. I'm guessing this is the William Cheung lineage, how do you like it?

yes it is wow i love doing it

I started off doing the william cheung style too. Each lineage has something different to offer.

OK thank you
