It's a great site. I often watch movies on it. Movies allow you to immerse yourself in the story being shown on the screen. You can enjoy the story, disconnect from your problems, worry or rejoice with the characters, and so on. I watched the entire season of Umbrella Academy last weekend on soap2day.
Paradoxically, no one even thinks about what filmmaking exists for, what social purpose it serves, and why we spend so much time watching it. We don't think about it because we don't see movies as a serious source of influence at all.
