Longshot is on the other dimension known as Mojoworld. He was one of the slave of Mojo but he resist and do rebellion which he became a legendary hero, and on the process of rebellion he was captured but he find other ways to escape into other dimension where he get into the portal towards Earth.But he was followed by Mojo so we will able to get back Longshot and make him his slave again.Source here

When the time he get back to Mojoworld to attempt to free his people Mojo did erase his memory and have Longshot teleported back to Earth.He has then suffered amnesia on Earth , he then encounter X-Men Team and been in X-Men along the way.On the process his memories regain every now and then.He has a superhuman agility, speed, reflexes, endurance and healing factor.Source here
