Let's be clear on cognitive dissonance since you seem to ask in a rather insulting manner.. Cognitive dissonance is discomfort that results from holding two simultaneous contradictory beliefs. It is used to describe when a person is internally conflicted in their beliefs and unable to face one of the realities as false due to the fear of the mental and emotional consequences of having to restructure their belief paradigm.
Feel free to take your own shot at it as well if that's not good enough for you..

If sounded "Rather insulting" I apologize, that was not my intention. People often use words they do not fully understand (just because they are catchy and trendy).
