Bio
Since 2001, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has been a staple of Bangladesh’s pace attack.
The bowler made his Test and one-day international debuts against Zimbabwe in November 2001, with a four-wicket haul in his first five-day outing hinting at Mashrafe’s talent.
He was part of Bangladesh’s 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup squad, playing two matches, but it was the 2007 tournament were Mashrafe truly made his mark.
He played nine games during the tournament and took 4-38 in a man-of-the-match performance against India.
The best fast bowler produced by Bangladesh, Mashrafe will aim to be fit and firing for Bangladesh’s 2015 World Cup campaign.
