Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is trying to replace former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza in front of the tri-series T20 series scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka after the failure of the short format of the game.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon told a press conference on Tuesday, "We will request Mashrafe to return for the tri-series. But everything depends on his opinion.Sri Lanka will organize a Twenty-Series series called 'Nidhaus' Trophy for their Independence Day. Which will start in Sri Lanka on 8 March. India will also take part in the tri-series tri-series Sri Lanka Bangladesh will face Bangladesh in inaugural match
Earlier in April last year, Mashrafe played his last T-20 match in Sri Lanka. Before the match, he announced his retirement from the brief format of the game.
