Yesterday happened the second module of the Perceptive Massage course, which was taught by Claudia Sarti, who is also here on Steemit (@claudiasartiyoga). It took four and a half hours to apply techniques on the hips and back.
The course started with breathing exercises. Conscious breathing is a very effective tool for enhancing massage techniques.
There is a very interesting rule that relates to the relationship between strength and relaxation: relaxation can be deeper and conquered more quickly after the body perform exercises what require strength. Therefore, the contrast between the two states intensifies the both. So, in the first part of the course we did techniques in which those who receive the massage are also active through exercises that request the muscles. And in the second part of the course we experienced more relaxing techniques, without the person who was receiving make any effort.
In the next module we will see neck, head, arms and forearms!
