Matcha latte or regular latte ?
Just like coffee, matcha contains caffeine, but instead of the jitters and instant hit then fatigue it gives you a clean high that gradually tapers off. A matcha hit provides 34mg of caffeine, which is the same as a cup of brewed coffee and half the amount of an espresso, however, the tea's buzz is much more energising and longer-lasting. It's thanks to the amino acid L-Theanine, which slows the release of caffeine and has a calming, relaxing effect.
Matcha is also super healthy as : *it's packed with antioxidants.
*It speeds up metabolism and burns calories
*Detoxifies *Calms the mind and relaxes the body
*Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
*Enhances mood and aids in concentration
*Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
*helps eliminate germs and deter bad breath
*Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar
To make a matcha drink mix one serving (your matcha should come with a little serving scoup) otherwise it's about a third of a teaspoon with boiling water mix to a paste so there are no lumps and add your choice of hot steamed milk and sweetener. Enjoy
Just off to make a green tea latte :)
