Obviously these are wrong equations. The pattern of finding answer is given here.. Thats how it is different from normal maths.
11 * 11 = 4 >> {(1+1)(1+1)} = 4
22 * 22 = 16 >> {(2+2)(2+2)} = 16
33 * 33 = 36 >> {(3+3) * (3+3)} = 36
