It sounds "greek" to me

I wish that they sounded greek actually. And I refer to maths of course. This never ending nightmare with numbers. At school maths and physics (as maths are also included there) were a reason to shoot myself. My brain is paralysed in front of numbers. My yin and yang kill each other. My skills end in just adding numbers. Everything else does not interest me at all and this is the main reason I always neglected this "sport".

Some people are just better at verbal subjects -if you love science you must know that. And my brain according to the way it has been programmed detests numbers. It is utterly uninterested. Show me some eggs and a bunch of logarithms and I will react the same. Nuh uh. In fact with the eggs I could at least bake a cake.

I always got a general idea -and by general I mean GENERAL- though. For instance in physics I was interested in the way things work until being asked to prove how they work. Why? Because I don't care. Let others who enjoy solving problems get the job done for me and leave me alone. Theory is fine, 'cause theory has words in it. "This happens because of this and that". Fine! Understood! But this, 52−x+x−5x+2+3x+8x2−4=0 is like this @#@#^^*((T$%# to me. Non-sense.

All these years I've been struggling to deal with all those difficult equations and I at least hoped to be useful again some day. No. Nothing. Nobody after school asked me to solve any of these problems again. I studied communications and cultural anthropology and I came across no numbers there. And when I go to the super market the cashier machine always does everything right for me. Life is that simple.

@eliakon I've occasionally thought about creating maths tutorials on Dtube! One or two more posts like this and consider it done!

haha sounds very interesting! :))

1+1=11 :pppppppp

χαχαχ και ποια είμαι εγώ για να πω το αντίθετο? :P

Maths forgive you ...)))

Do they? I hope so :P

came for the picture, stayed for the content. funny. followed! :)

haha Thanks a lot!! :))

Good writing content Thanks for sharing

Thank you! :)

math=a love or hate subject.Personally, can't imagine my life without numbers

Really?? I belong to the second group :P

There was a time I also belonged to that group, but I understood the meaning of them. They can offer so much help with so many problems in our everyday life.Hope you change your mind one day and see the use of them.

Well I totally agree with you and I can see how useful they are, its just that my appreciation cannot go any further :P

I love maths :( even solving problems, even though im studying veterinary medicine, which has almost no math at all i still dabble in maths sometimes, just for fun... Guess not everyone is the same

Maths for fun? Omg I cannot even imagine that :P Our brains work in a completely different way :P

52−x+x−5x+2+3x+8x2−4=0
52+2+16-4-5x+3x=0
66-2x=0
66=2x
x=33... done xD i think, ending a math problem and being right makes me feel acomplished

Solving this would definitely not be a priority for me :P I can totally see how much you like maths!! :))

poli omorfi :)

:))

My relationship with this "sport" is more or less the same with yours... I remember at school it was the lesson I hated the most, as I couldn't follow what the teacher was saying, it was all chinese for me (not greek :P).

But later in life I have come to realize how important
mathematics are... There is a mathematical equation about everything in life: flowers, trees, the stripes on an animal's fur, music, our bodies etc...
Of course I am only able to admire this fact cause they still seem chinese to me no matter what! :))

I know... And thats the scary part.. We are surrounded by maths! :O
And yes, I will agree again! :P

If you think about it, it shouldn't scare you that match because thank god we have some brilliant mathematical minds who decode everything for us, so we can admire the mechanics of this brillant universe...
That's my approach on it :)

Oh well, that's what I do... I admire those brilliant mathematical minds :))
