Math is a very essential subject for us, it is already taught to us when we are in Pre-school, Kinder, Elementary, High School and College. Math is taught to us because it is really important that we learn how to count numbers, not only to count but also to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers. Math has many branches underneath it, like Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, General Mathematics, and many others. But in this paper I’ll talk about Algebra, and to be more specific, I will tackle about Arithmetic Sequence.
Arithmetic Sequence is the sequence of numbers such that the difference between consecutive terms is constant. An example of Arithmetic Sequence is this, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 this is the group of numbers and now we will look for the difference between consecutive terms, so the difference is 3. Arithmetic Sequence can be mentally solved but there is an easier way, and that is by using formula. The formula for Arithmetic Sequence is a_n= a_m+ (n-m) d, where subscript n and n is equal to the nth term, while subscript m and m is equal to the initial term, then d is the difference. Arithmetic Sequence isn’t just a lesson in a classroom because we can also use it in real life. We can use it to easily memorize a set of numbers because we will look for the pattern in a group of numbers, and if we know the pattern, we can easily memorize it.
Math isn’t just a hard time for us, especially for students because Math can also give us easy ways on how to solve a certain problem in our lives especially problems that include numbers. For example that Arithmetic Sequence, with the use of that we can easily determine the appraisal of an employee’s income between consecutive months. So continue to study Math because is very essential for us, because in our daily lives we must count like counting the change from a Jeepney fare, counting the attendees of the sports fest, and many others.
