Phase One (Early Universe – 2012)
~13.77 billion years ago: Before the Big Bang, four cosmic entities—Death, Entropy, Infinity, and Eternity—existed. Eternity created the Celestials, who then formed the universe. During the Big Bang, six Infinity Stones (Time, Space, Reality, Mind, Power, and Soul) were created and scattered across the cosmos. The Celestials divided into five groups: the Management, Search, Information, Detection, and Termination groups. Arishem, a Celestial Judge from the Management group, spread Celestial Seeds across different planets.
~3 billion years ago: Yggdrasil, the World Tree, was born, connecting nine distant realms, including Earth. These became known as the Nine Realms. The Time Stone fell to Earth. The Space Stone became the Tesseract, controlled by the Frost Giants of Jotunheim. The Reality Stone took the form of the Aether, held by the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. The Soul Stone was sealed on Vormir. The Mind Stone was embedded in a scepter made by the Chitauri.
~80 million years ago: Cosmic Elders, including the Celestial Ego, the Grandmaster, and the Collector Taneleer Tivan, emerged. Ego built a celestial armor around himself, disguising himself as a planet. The Celestials judged planets based on their development; if deemed unworthy, they destroyed them using the Power Stone. Eventually, the Power Stone was sealed inside the Orb and hidden in Morag’s temple. Due to climate change, Morag was submerged, and its tides receded only once every 300 years.
Early Earth Civilizations: The Celestials created the Deviants to protect intelligent species, but they became predators, delaying planetary emergence. In response, Arishem designed the Eternals as a replacement. As primitive life arose, the Celestials chose Earth to incubate the Celestial Tiamut. They granted intelligence to early humans, leading to civilization. The Dark God Chthon inscribed dark magic spells into the Darkhold on Mount Wundagore. The opposing God of White Magic, Vishanti, wrote the Book of Vishanti.
~2.5 million years ago: A Vibranium meteor crashed in central Africa, as well as parts of the Atlantic and Antarctica. The metal altered nearby vegetation, creating the Heart-Shaped Herb. Five African tribes gathered around the Vibranium deposit, forming Wakanda, constantly battling for control.
~12,000 years ago: Wakandan shaman Bashenga received guidance from the Panther Goddess Bast, found the Heart-Shaped Herb, and gained superhuman strength, becoming the first Black Panther and uniting Wakanda.
7353 BC: The first ruler of Asgard, Buri, was born. Fallen Asgardian warriors went to Valhalla. Meanwhile, the Greek Gods established Olympus under Zeus.
5700 BC: Agamotto discovered supreme magic and the multiverse in the Himalayas. To defend Earth from extra-dimensional threats, he founded Kamar-Taj and became the first Sorcerer Supreme. The Time Stone was forged into the Eye of Agamotto.
5244 BC: Buri’s son, Bor, was born. Upon adulthood, Bor killed his father and took the throne of Asgard.
5000 BC: The Celestials sent ten Eternals—Sersi, Ikaris, Thena, Gilgamesh, Kingo, Sprite, Phastos, Druig, Makkari, and Ajak—to Earth aboard the Domo spacecraft to maintain life balance. They landed in Mesopotamia, fighting off Deviants and protecting early humans.
3480 BC: Bor’s son, Odin, was born and later became the All-Father.
3460 BC: Asgardians enlisted Dwarves to forge the Bifrost Bridge. Odin defeated the Fire Giant Surtur and seized the Eternal Flame. Surtur swore revenge and hid in Muspelheim, awaiting Ragnarok.
3000 BC: The Dark Elf leader Malekith attempted to plunge the universe into darkness using the Aether. Bor led the Asgardian army to defeat the Dark Elves and hid the Aether in Svartalfheim.
2700 BC: Ancient Egyptians built pyramids and worshipped their gods. Over time, humans abandoned the Egyptian pantheon, weakening their influence. Only Khonshu, the Moon God, persisted, seeking an earthly avatar.
1977 BC: The mystical village of Ta Lo was discovered in China. Over time, it was attacked by soul-consuming demons led by the Dweller-in-Darkness. A divine dragon, the Great Protector, aided the villagers in sealing the dark forces behind the Dark Gate. The survivors dedicated themselves to guarding the portal.
674 BC: Odin ascended to the Asgardian throne, and his daughter Hela was born.
639 BC: Hela attempted to overthrow Odin but was imprisoned in Hel.
575 BC: The Eternals fought Deviants in Babylon.
79 AD (Alternate Timeline): Mount Vesuvius erupted, burying Pompeii in ash. Loki and Mobius visited this event, confirming Loki’s theory that apocalyptic disasters conceal time disturbances.
200 AD: While the world waged wars, Wakanda flourished in secret due to Vibranium.
400 AD: Ikaris and Sersi married in India’s Gupta Empire.
600 AD: Sir Percy, the Black Knight, defended King Arthur, leaving behind the cursed Ebony Blade.
950 AD: Hela attempted to escape Hel, leading to a battle where all Valkyries were killed except one, Valkyrie, who fled to Sakaar. Odin sealed Hela once again.
964 AD: Odin’s son Thor was born.
965 AD: Odin defeated the Frost Giants and adopted Loki, son of their king Laufey, seizing the Tesseract.
1015 AD: Thanos was born on Titan.
1024 AD: The Kree Empire engaged in wars with the Skrulls and the Nova Corps. During China’s Song Dynasty, Wenwu found the Ten Rings in a volcanic crater, gaining immortality. Instead of using them for justice, he formed the Ten Rings Organization to conquer lands.
1305 AD: Overpopulation led to Titan’s decline. Thanos proposed eliminating half the population, but was exiled. As Titan fell into ecological ruin, the Celestials arrived and destroyed it. Thanos resolved to prevent universal collapse and sought the Infinity Stones to challenge the Celestials. His brother Eros abandoned faith in the Celestials, becoming a space fugitive with Pip the Troll.
1316 AD: The Ancient One was born in Celtic lands. She later joined Kamar-Taj, passed the Vishanti trials, and became the Sorcerer Supreme. Secretly, she drew power from the Dark Dimension to extend her life, awaiting Stephen Strange’s arrival.
1410 AD: Odin hid the Tesseract in Tønsberg, Norway.
1571 AD: The Talokan people, seeking refuge, ingested Vibranium-infused herbs, allowing them to live underwater. The Talokan prince, Namor, was born with mutant abilities. When Spanish invaders arrived, the Talokans retreated into the ocean depths. Namor, the first underwater-born child, was revered as a god.
1521 AD: The Eternals eradicated Deviants in Tenochtitlán. Dissatisfied with interfering in human affairs, they disbanded. Druig secluded humans in Tenochtitlán, Kingo pursued acting in India, Sersi moved to the UK, and Ajak, Phastos, Gilgamesh, and Thena went into hiding.
