Unconditional Love

"Oh Shiela, class is done and how was the day?" father asked her daughter who tired of selling cigarette at the corner of highways.

His daughter replied
"Where's nanay? I'm hungry."

The father replied, "Outside, she bought the food, when she comes, she will cook and prepare the dinner"

"Tay I'm hungry! I told you to prepare my dinner early." A bastard daughter responded.

"I'm sorry Shiela if was home late because the cigarette sales and the store were not so good," Father responded

"Even though Nanay can come home, prepare the food and cook it." Her replied.

Shiela was upset and go to her room. And never go out again for dinner.

Her father was worried about her and go to her room.
"Shiela, Come out let's eat and dinner is ready." The father's calm call.

Shiela replied "I'm not hungry now! If you cooked it earlier and prepared it, I can eat early. Now I'm not hungry"

A father feels so down and sad for her daughter replied.

Saturday morning Father ask Shiela about her debut. He asks how the preparation she wants.

"Well, by next month is your debut I'm so excited for it. What do you want for your party? Do you want a big party?"An excited question from a father

"Why do you want to give me a party?" She said,
"My allowance is just 100 pesos a day."
"And you think, you can provide a big party or a gown? From the sales of your cigarettes and a small store." She added

A father feels humiliated and worthless from his child's response. And he replied

"Don't worry Shiela, I will make sure to give you a big party by next month. " a response from a loving father.

After that conversation Shiela's parents working as like as a carabao. Even so, late night after her Nanay prepared a dinner they open the store and 24 hours they operate it. His father and mother are willing to have more sales from the store just to give a big party for her debut.

Two weeks before Shiela's debut.
Her father showed her beautiful gowns as per the program set up. Also all the impressive invitation letters. Shiela was shocked and thankful for all her wants and request was granted.

"Shiela baby, check your gowns and all the invitations. You can check also the how the program will be. And I hope you like it, my princess." A sweet father statement.

"Woah! Tay is this true? I can invite all my classmates and friends for this big event. And the program is so amazing. Thank you for a special gift and celebration of my important day. Thank you Tatay and Nanay." She replied.

The most awaited celebration comes

Since her mother and father still busy in the store.Shiela understands that her parents will come late. And you know the personality of Shiela even her parents are not there its fine as long as she has her friends.

Shiela received a call from her parents. She ignored it. 5 missed calls. 10 missed calls.

" Why you keep calling on her? She's busy with her visitors, that's why she didn't answer your call" Shiela's mother question.

"Yeah, I know. I just want to greet her as we still here and working. I know she expecting that we will come late but I want to hear her voice and greet her. I'm excited actually so let's prepare to go there, please." An excited father responded.

"Hahaha. Ok dear. I'm so blessed to have a partner like you. You loved me and my child as your own.I love you, honey."She replied while preparing.

"I love you too honey. You and shiela are my precious gift from God. Both of you are important to me and I love more than myself" a sweet replied.

5 pm they closed the store early since they have to go to Shiela's Debut party.

Shiela got a call with an unknown number.

Unexpected the vehicle they were in accidentally hit by another big truck during on way to Shiela's debut party. The couple were taken to the hospital who was dying.

"Hello, Shiela? Your mom and dad are in the hospital and dying."

Shiela cant talk and response to the person on the line and she cried'. Everyone on the party has noticed that she's crying and asked whats wrong but she just replied.

"Bring me to the hospital. I want to see my parents.please" her begging replied

In the hospital

"Nanay ! Tatay!" Small voice and crying while looking for her parents.

Her parents dead on arrival as per the doctor and gave her one small bag of gift with a card.

She opened it a set of a gold ring, necklace and bracelet. She read the card while crying.

CARD
" Hi my baby Shiela, I remembered when you were 5 years old you used to ride on my shoulder. I'm happy to see that you enjoyed it. I'm sorry baby if I am not a perfect Tatay for you but till my last breath, I will try to make all and best things to make you happy. I love you anak. Happy birthday."

Shiela wept bitterly and regretted. If she previously cherished his parents' love it would not pain and hard like this. She knew her parents loved her but she did not show how she loves them.

Love your parents even if they are not perfect. Do not wait for a sunset of life done and you will find yourself regretted in everything and it's too late.
