Is one of the ancient civilizations in large parts of Central America, currently known as El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Belize, which is located in five southern states of Mexico: Quintanaro, Yucatan, Campeche, Chiapas and Tabasco. The origins of the Mayan people are the American Indians who established the civilization of Central America, which reached its peak in the middle of the third century AD and continued to develop for more than six centuries. It is one of the finest civilizations that lived in the Americas due to their mastery of architecture, engineering and writing.  Mayans and the end of the world The Mayan predecessors predicted that on December 21, 2012, the end of the world would be the end of the world or that a global catastrophe would occur. A plan of stars appeared in the Olmec civilization in Central America in 680 BC, astronomical patterns were recorded, They then developed their own calendar in 355 BC and used their observations and computational skills to calculate the future movements of the stars in the sky, resulting in the discovery of the effect of the Earth's swing in my work. Its rotation revolves around its axis. This oscillating rotation makes the movement of the stars gradually deviate in the sky in a cycle of 5125 years. The Mayan people discovered that the dark belt in the center of the Milky Way intersects once in each cycle with the elliptical orbit.  In the year in which the intersection takes place the sun reaches its turn on December 21st for the Northern Hemisphere and the 21st of June for the Southern Hemisphere. In the same date the coup takes place at the same moment as the equator meets the Milky Way galaxy. According to the Gregorian calendar in 2012, while the last time it happened was on the 11th of August of 3114 BC, and the hieroglyphs of the Maya indicate that they believed that the next intersection would occur in 2012 and would be the end of the cycle and the beginning of a new cycle.  Mayan religion The Maya people worshiped many gods and believed in their ability to do good and evil; they sought help from them by offering offerings and prayers, and holding ceremonies according to their beliefs. Each god was responsible for a part of their lives. One manuscript referred to the presence of more than 160 gods, The gods, the gods of the moon, the gods of the sun, and the religion of great importance in the daily life of this people, was every day of the year of religious significance, and religious ceremonies are held in honor of the gods on certain days of the year.   The Mayans were offering turkeys, dogs, slaughtered elk as well as blood that they spread on pieces of paper made from bark. They also offered some human sacrifices by killing humans in the mansions of great leaders, or throwing them into deep wells.  Science in the Maya The Mayan people used to write important dates and events in the life of the rulers as a stone monument called Estella. They also wrote down some buildings and household items. They created books of paper made from fig leaves, and several books from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries were preserved. These books contain information about religious ceremonies, astronomical tables, and diaries that illustrate the specific days of business seasons such as agriculture and hunting. The development of mathematics and astronomy is another form of cultural progress in the Mayan civilization. They used the mathematical figure based on number 20 rather than number 10. Some priests developed their knowledge of astronomy by observing the orbits of the sun, stars and moon, and setting up scales predicting the orbit of Venus and the eclipse.  Use the note of mathematics and astronomy by the priests to develop two types of calendar: The first type is called the holy calendar and consists of 260 days, and the other calendar is built around the earth around the sun and consists of 365 days divided by 18 months, by making the month consists of 20 days plus five days At the end of the year, these five days at the end of the year were considered to bear bad luIslamck
