Mayor Pete Buttigieg took a dig at fellow 2020 candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders' supporters, drawing parallels between them and fans of President Trump during a campaign stop in New Hampshire.
"I think the sense of anger and disaffection that comes from seeing that the numbers are fine, like unemployment's low, like all that, like you said GDP is growing and yet a lot of neighborhoods and families are living like this recovery never even happened. They're stuck," Buttigieg told high school Democrats in Nashua, N.H., on Friday. "It just kind of turns you against the system in general and then you're more likely to want to vote to blow up the system, which could lead you to somebody like Bernie and it could lead you to somebody like Trump. That's how we got where we are."
Commentary Note: Apparently, Mayor Pete wants to KEEP “the system in general” & NOT “blow up the system” as apparently he thinks that this is the PROBLEM with Sanders & Trump who clearly want to CHANGE THINGS!!!!!

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said Sunday that capitalism is a potential threat to democracy, even in the United States.
"America is a capitalist society but it has to be a democratic capitalism. That is really important and it is slipping away from us. When capitalism comes into tension with democracy, which is more important?" the South Bend, Ind., mayor said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I believe democracy is more important. When you have capitalism capturing democracy, where you have the kind of regulatory capture where powerful corporations can arrange the rules for their benefit, that's not real capitalism," he added.
Commentary Note: Mayor Pete apparently believes “democracy is more important” than CAPITALISM!!!! Mayor Pete is CORRECT as he apparently agrees with Mussolini that CORPORATISM is “NOT REAL CAPITALISM” - but if “NOT real capitalism” then it must be FASCISM as Mussolini defines it as such since it is clearly not Socialism!!!! Petite Bourgeois Capitalism with an APPROPRIATE Sherman Anti Trust Type of APPROACH to prevent Grand Bourgeois Capitalism from turning itself into FASCISM is the BEST & ONLY DEFENSE OF DEMOCRACY!!!! Democracy needs Brandeis Style Decentralization as in “The States as the Laboratories of Democracy” and the Jeffersonian Decentralized Style of “Mini Democratic Republics”!!!!! Buttigieg used Russia as an example of what happens when capitalism gets out of control. "It turns into crony capitalism and that turns into oligarchy," he said.
