Childhood
Conor Anthony McGregor was born in Crumlin, Dublin, the son of Tony and Margaret McGregor. While McGregor didn’t grow up in the lavish life he lives in now, his family wasn’t poor. Tony McGregor worked as a mechanic’s apprentice for a year before quitting and getting a taxi license. He worked as a taxi driver for more than 25 years before retiring. While walking to and from school, Conor got picked on by kids who were his age or older than him. As McGregor revealed to MMA TV, he was just a schoolboy, but the bullies would verbally assault him. To make some extra money Conor got a job as a plumber’s apprentice spending up to 12 hours a day fixing pipes and toilets. You could say his former job is dirtier than his trash talk. In 2008, McGregor began training at the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin under John Kavanagh. McGregor journeyed his way through childhood gyms, a stint as a plumber’s apprentice, and eventually getting started getting into the MMA space. Conor would even coach at the SBG fight club in the Inchicore suburb of Dublin and help people with their fitness and MMA goals.

The Rise to Fame
Conor McGregor officially joined the UFC at 18 years old. On 17 February 2007, McGregor made his mixed martial arts debut in an amateur fight against Kieran Campbell for the Irish Ring of Truth promotion in Dublin. After winning via technical knockout in the first round, Conor was ready to start his UFC career. The young fighter would make his way up in the charts to eventually fight iconic names like Dustin Poirier, Nate Diaz, Eddie Alvarez, Jose Aldo, and of course Khabib Nurmagomedov. Though not winning all those fights, he has come a long way in his journey. The top 10 biggest fights in UFC history all have McGregor, he’s the “face” of MMA. Not to mention the money he’s making! It’s estimated that Conor made $100 million from the Floyd Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. Conor does give back to the little guys from time to time. Remember when I was talking about the MMA gym he used to train? He still goes back there once in a while and teaches new fighters proper techniques!
The Fall
The great part of McGregor was his hilarious comedic jokes and trash talks, and he could back it up in the octagon; however, lately, he hasn’t won a fight in 4 years! Losses from Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier have really ripped his legacy and reputation.

The Potential Rise
Recently, McGregor has really been working out and bulking up! Looking at the transformation pictures is just stunning. Joe Rogan thinks USADA will be paying Conor McGregor a visit “real soon” after Conor gained twenty-two pounds of muscle. It will be exciting seeing Conor fighting in that weight class! That’s the tale of the Notorious, Conor McGregor. If you enjoyed, make sure to leave a like and comment on your thoughts regarding this topic. Have a great day my friend!

I would like to see him fight again but tone down the trash talk a bit. Once he got on the arrogance train i found myself always rooting against him. I think that when he does come back that Dana is going to find him someone he can easily defeat like another "Cowboy" and then try to make the claim that he is ready to fight for the title because: money.
