Black Panther

Lessons learnt from Black Panther Movie:

1.Black Panther rejects the politics of white supremacy in favor of a politics of solidarity which requires sacrifice and selfless tendencies which if adopted by Africa would give us the Wakanda We so desire.

2.The character Everett K. Ross(Whiteman) is a brilliant case study in what radical white solidarity can look like in practice:

Ross takes his cue from the natives thus does not seek to “lead.” Instead, he seeks to listen. Moreover, Ross does not assume that he knows what it best for the Wakandans as it is in the case of of Europe and USA on African affairs — -instead he sits back and takes directives from them, particularly the black women💅.

Lastly, and most importantly, Ross understands that solidarity requires labor — -it requires that he put in work without ulterior motives.

No one can make Africa better than Africans.
