2019.1.13 | Media, Medium, Deplatforming
Proving the need for decentralized journalism such as Baldr Media, blogging platform Medium.com has unilaterally deplatformed Baldr Media for reasons of “related conduct”.
“Related conduct
We do not allow posts or accounts that engage in on-platform, off-platform, or cross-platform campaigns of targeting, harassment, hate speech, violence, or disinformation. We may consider off-platform actions in assessing a Medium account, and restrict access or availability to that account.”
We haven’t targeted anyone. We haven’t harassed anyone. We haven’t committed hate speech. We haven’t committed violence. We haven’t spread disinformation. Besides, these are all subjective and arbitrary labels.
Rather, our deplatforming seems to be the arbitrary decision of yet another totalitarian social media Moloch. Everybody who disagrees with the progressive liberal worldview is a “deplorable racist, Nazi, xenophobe, sexist, homophobe”.
Our readers won’t have to despair—deplatforming is precisely what Baldr Media is prepared for. We do not rely on a single central channel. We post our news on as many platforms as needed to keep ourselves up and running.
Presently, you can find our news on Tumblr, Wordpress, Blogger, Minds, Reddit, and Steemit, with links posted to Twitter, Gab, and Facebook. We can also be reached via our main domain https://baldrmedia.com.
