Proyecto - Buena Vista Centro de Investigación
Hoy aprovechamos de los primeros pollos del proyecto de pollos de engorde manejada por @arangoaqet y la señora Deissy. En solo 9 semanas, los pollos se engordaron al tamaño de 6-7 libras arregladas. Si les dejamos engordar mucho las tiendas no los compran.
Como la carretera no llega hasta Proyecto Buena Vista, nosotros transitamos un cafetal para llegar otra vez al pueblo. Al final del dia, nosotros hablamos de 'bajar la loma'. El lonchera que carga @ecoinstante contiene un pollo arreglado para compartir en casa.

Since the road doesn't reach Project Buena Vista, we transit a coffee room to get back to the village ... so i guess that's a "coffee room" in the background :)
Why would stores not buy chickens if they are too fat ? Maybe it mis-translated that too, sorry in that case ... ??!?

Great questions! Yes, here a 'coffee room' is probably better translated as coffee field - but the question about the chicken sizes was new to me as well - here people like smaller chickens, and I think it has to do with price (price/kg), if the chicken gets too big its parts get too heavy and then the chicken doesn't sell as fast.
Now that is just our experience locally, I bet if you live next to a Chicken Nugget factory they don't mind the heavier birds 😅

wow 5:30 already again ... nuggest and stuff, i think i have that maybe once a year - fast food is expensive (maybe for the best) my grampa used to farm when he retired , sometimes chickens up to 12kg lol, i guess those wouldnt go down well there then :)
