A US company has announced that it will start shipping a custom gel to stop bleeding wounds within seconds for veterinary use.
The name of the company is Suneris, and the name of the product is VetiGel. It was invented by the company's founder and manager Joe Landolina when he was 17 years old; now he is 22 years old.
When the gel is injected into the wound, it forms a clot that stops bleeding within 12 seconds, and heals the wound within minutes, according to Landolina.
The gel is produced from a kind of algae, and consists of small polymers, and when injected into the wound it forms a network and if strongly attached to the wound.
The gel network also helps the body produce Fibrin protein on the surface of the wound, which helps heal the wound, and after a few minutes it can be removed.
Currently, the gel will be used for veterinary treatment, and the inventor hopes to get approval to begin his experience on human wounds.
This is a very useful invention. It can be used to prevent bleeding from wounds in the battlefield. It may even be lifesaving.
