Overdose is an excessive and dangerous use of a drug. It is when one uses more than the prescribed dose of a drug for the treatment of a particular ailment or disease. For instance, some people might complain of a serious headache and then ingest 6pills of a 500mg paracetamol instead of maybe 2pills of 500mg paracetamol that was prescribed by the doctor to them. But in my study, when i ask them why they do these, they respond by saying; "i feel that if i take a lot of the drug , then the aggressive headache will dissapear within a short time. But, that's a big misconception due to obliviousness. Aspirin is a drug that reduces pain without inducing unconsciousness. So it is therefore regarded as an analgesic. An excessive use of aspirin could then induce unconsciousness, drowsiness, hallucinations and even cause seizures. So patients should always stick to the prescribed dosages to avoid these symptoms of aspirin overdose.
