Rise in Deaths from Superbugs and Hospital Cover-Ups

The medical community has struggled with the rise of superbugs, strains of bacteria that cannot be treated with traditional antibiotics. If you doubt the danger of superbugs, watch this video of regular bacteria evolving antibiotic immunity right before your eyes. In September 2016, the United Nations gathered to discuss what is becoming a growing epidemic.

Now, an LA Times article has exposed how frequently hospitals under-report these infections and cover up the resulting deaths. Compounding this lack of accountability with the fact that not all states require hospitals to report when patients are infected with lethal superbugs. California is one such state.
