Magnesium Sulphate, a Natural Inexpensive Analgesic and more...

in medicine •  6 years ago  (edited)

Magnesium Sulphate (Formula MgSO4), also known as Epsom salt is an inorganic salt which is obtained from minerals, seawater, among other sources. Its name comes from the city of Epsom, England; where a bitter lake is found due to the high content of this salt. Magnesium sulphate is a source of the magnesium cation (Mg+2), wich participates in numerous processes of the organism like muscle contraction, heart function, nerve impulse transmission and general metabolism. Another use is an analgesic: the topical magnesium cation in hot solution decreases the transmission of the pain impulse by inhibiting the N-methyl-D-Aspartate neurotrasmitter. Place in a glass container a spoonful of hot water, and dissolve a pinch of Magnesium Sulphate, this is an effective analgesic for punches, joint pain and inflammation. It should be noted that most people are currently unaware of the importance of magnesium: some symptoms of its deficiency are:

  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Metabolic Failures
  • Joint and Limb Pains

If you have any of these symptoms go to the doctor and mention this important mineral.

Regards!

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Magnesium Sulphate (Formula MgSO4), also known as Epsom salt is an inorganic salt wich is obtained from minerals, seawater, among other sources.
It should be which instead of wich.

Oops!! Many Thanks!
