Dr. Pimple Popper

I admit, I was definitely a couch potato growing up as a child, but in the past 3 years, I hardly spent much time in front of the TV, mostly because I don't have cable where I live and also because I haven't found a show I liked. After seeing a few shows on Netflix and hearing about others on Hulu and other similar streaming services, I found myself looking for shows or movies I enjoy. I also realized that there's a TV in the common room. I enjoyed watching the shows available on ID Discovery, a channel dedicated to real life murder mysteries. However, this channel was only available temporarily, so I had to go through the available channels. Thankfully, TLC was available because I discovered the show "Dr. Pimple Popper."

This show is definitely not for the weak of heart, there's blood, unusual diseases and yes, cutting through the skin. What I like about the show is the doctor's joy in knowing she's helping her patients in their time of need. It's definitely not your typical medical show because your are dealing with real people, with real diseases and getting real treatments. It is difficult to see at first since the camera doesn't shy away from the treatment. You see the doctor doing the procedures, it isn't presented to you in general terms or vague graphics. You see how things are done.

I do have some questions about the show such as compensation and payment for the procedures, travel, and travel expense. As well as how they decide who gets on the show and who decided to pick the doctor, why her?
