Medicine tree plant - Terminalia bellirica

Terminalia bellirica    is native to  Southeast Asia and grows throughout the country’s especially in lower hill areas. The leaves are about 15 cm long. The fruit of Terminalia bellirica contains chemicals like beta cetosterol, Gaelic, tannins, elegiac acid and ethyl.

Benefits

The fruit of Baheda is believed to cure bronchitis. 

It is rejuvenating, prevents aging and adds longevity. 

Bahada is beneficial in curing any digestive problem. 

The plant is useful for improving mental faculties. 

Terminalia bellerica is helpful to stop bleeding. 

The fruit chewed is believed to cure cough, cold, asthma and hoarse voice. 

The paste of the fruit is applied to the swollen skin. 

Terminalia bellerica promotes hair growth, adds nutrition and useful against  graying .
