My name is Lori Smith. I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Coach and a member of the Integrative Health Coaching Association of Nova Scotia.

Ever find yourself feeling depressed and not understanding why? How about chronic pain that you haven't been able to find a way to deal with? Do you suffer with stress and anxiety and are not comfortable with traditional methods of medications? These are just a few examples of what it is that Integrative Health Coaching offers. It helps to fill the gap that conventional medicine has by explaining the body and mind connection and to diminish the wait times for those suffering with mental, physical and emotional issues have with getting treatment and help.
Ever thought about learning meditation or deep breathing exercises and more to help with stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, trauma, depression, pain management and more? How about setting goals for emotional health and growth? Integrative Health Coaching can help with a multitude of issues you have been dealing with. You become a decision maker by taking part in deciding your treatment plan.....your input and decisions on which strategies work best make a difference in putting together an action plan that is created to suit you and provide a better way of helping you.
Been struggling with weight loss? How about health issues that require a better diet and you aren't sure what to do? Been diagnosed with a health disorder that would benefit from a switch in diet? Coaching plans can be a huge help in these areas.

My goals are to help you reach yours...
I will offer clients:
a) a safe space to be themselves and talk openly and honestly about what is happening.
b) to help clients realize the potential they have in reaching the goals they set out for themselves and offering the tools to help them get there.
c) to teach clients new and interesting ways to deal with their surroundings and to adjust how they react to it.
d) to give the clients free choice in how we proceed with new and innovative ideas to help them cope with their situations, whether it be stress, anxiety, trauma, pain and more.
e) to help clients build self confidence in themselves and realize what they have to offer life.
f) to help clients create a better understanding of the mind, body and spirit connection and how that understanding will change the outlook they have on any given situation and help them deal more efficiently with it.
g) to help clients deal with fear and the stresses it puts on them.
h) to help clients build fulfilling relationships with family, co-workers, friends, communities and more..

You need not travel the road alone....

I have an unwavering belief that mindfulness and meditation is a huge benefit to anyone who chooses to practice it. It is a chosen way of life, one that cannot be taught or shown to those unwilling to learn or have no belief in it at all. It is a spiritual journey not a religious one to find and connect with our inner self. The inner voice we all have but so many rarely listen to can be heard once we learn to silence the chaos of the mind.
I want to share this experience with you and invite you share as well.
