Hundreds of published research studies have found that meditation is highly effective on stress and anxiety , brain function , and cardiovascular health .
There are many different styles of meditation, so one should experiment with as many as possible. Finally he/she will find the one which suits him/her best.
In my opinion, the easiest way to meditate is so called transcendental meditation.(TM) It's easy to understand and perform, like one, two, three. Nevertheless, it gives tremendous benefits to our consciousness, mind calming and overall wellbeing. It's an effortless technique for "recharging your mind and body" — and creating a brighter, more positive state of mind.

So, how one can practice transcendental meditation: sit in any relaxed pose, vertebral column straight. Close your eyes, relax. begin repeating any mantra in your mind. For the beginning it can be mantra "OM". Just repeat it, without any effort for 15-20 minutes. That's all :)
