In June 1967, the Israeli army occupied the city of East Jerusalem and took control of the "Al Buraq Wall" and demolished and destroyed the Mughrabi Quarter in the city. The series of Israeli attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which reached its peak on 21 August 1969, was followed by the attempted burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which destroyed the historic Salah al-Din al-Ayyubid pulpit. This file documents the most prominent Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque since the Israeli occupation of the city of Jerusalem in 1967 to this day, an open file whose contents will be continuously enriched, and includes a daily account of Israeli attacks and violations and Palestinian, Arab and international reactions. The file contains diaries, documents, and reports derived mainly from the archives of the Palestine Studies Foundation as well as from paper and electronic sources.
