Steemit is dynamic and thoughtful

The 2nd Week was Full of Realization

One big thing I realized about our 2nd Steemsports Basketball Meetup is how Steemit can build and empower communities. Never in my life I think Steemit would give us opportunity to conduct such various activities especially in the field of basketball where Philippines is a crazy nation when it comes to it. So, it's a great opportunity to play this kind of event fully funded by Steemit.

It was definitely a fun experience!

I was personally overwhelmed by the rapid increase of Steemians joining the basketball meetup. I expected around 18-20 people joining us to play, with each having the hope of joining this fast growing community initiative. You know, it's weird for someone in the Philippines who can't play basketball. Its a norm here in our country.

How the Basketball Event Went

With over 30 Steemians, we grouped ourselves with 6 sets of teams each having 5 members. We then scheduled our games with each pair of team given to play around 20 mins per game to rotate the playing time. So there are 3 pairs of teams battling. Again, we were overwhelmed and shocked by the number of Steemians joining us and would expect much to grow more on this Sunday's meetup. I am part of the team playing the first game and I'm lucky to play with these people : @dopinthezone, @reyarobo, @natz04, and @jcpuzs1.

We're lucky to win the game with awesomeness shooting percentage. I was lucky to shoot most of my perimeter shots with great accuracy. It has been a couple of weeks since I played (though we played last week). Having my body used to this kind of activity again is like "the trill of affection feels so familiar". I'm back playing again! - and personally happy the reason of it is Steemit.

The future of this Basketball Activity

There's a lot of hope of continuing this activity because all of us are helping each other. I'm lucky to have all of them at my back to conduct more of this activity.

• @dopinthezone's design was picked by a lot of Steemians as a jersey for our basketball meetup.

• @loydjayme25 and @jbeguna04 are pushing much efforts in having a reliable supplier for our jersey.

• @melsmacan has been pushing and organizing a tournament format for us Steemians conducting the league.

• @robin-ho & @josephace135 has been pushing to buy our own original Molten Basketball Balls to be used in our next activities.

• Other notable Steemians have been pushing to look for other suitable venues for a long hour play time of basketball.

How amazing it is everyone is helping! :)

To all Steemians who wanted to play basketball with us, come with us this Sunday as we hope to integrate Cebu Steemians for this amazing basketball event. Everyone (Steemians and Sooner to be Steemians) are all welcome with free admission to join our basketball event.
