Only a few days left in October and there are still meetup events to come in Australia, the Philippines and the USA.
Then it is the Steem event of the year in early November with SteemFest 4 taking place in Thailand.
There are also a number of events around SteemFest including @theycallmedan speaking at a meetup in Seoul en-route to Thailand, @waybeyondpadthai's Boba tea party, and three meetups organised by TravelFeed in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
The first Regional Leaders have now been appointed as part of the new Steem Outreach Initiative.
As part of their role @chrisrice in the Philippines, @paulag in Ireland, @jaynie in South Africa, @zekepickleman in Canada and @pennsif in the UK will be looking to organise more meetups and Steem events. If you are in any of these countries do get in touch with them...

Meetup.com can be a great tool for organising Steem meetups particularly for bringing in new people that are not already involved in Steem.
There are 17 Steem Meetup groups listed around the world... Austin, Belgrade, Berlin, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Louisville CO, Munich, Nairobi, New York, Nürnberg, Olympia WA, Philadelphia, Montreal Québec, San Bernardino CA, Seoul, Toronto, Zürich...
Unfortunately many of the meetup groups appear to be inactive now. If anyone lives in any of the inactive areas I would love to hear from you if you might be able to help reactivate the sleeping groups...
