The Success Of Steemup Kaduna - Embracing the #Project20MillionNaija

in meetup •  7 years ago

After every successful promotion of the STEEMUP KADUNA, we finally got to the very day of the event, I could not afford to be there late, I had to wake up early in the morning to fix my morning activities and set out to Kaduna. Eventually I got to the event venue on time, waited for a few minutes as the event kicked off.

A lot of people turned up, the students of Federal Cooperative College Kaduna and many other people that saw the banners & Steemup posters, I was so enticed with the crowd. Although there was a little misunderstanding with the college authority about the availability of the hall, but we were able to tackle the problem.

The steemup also arranged a music competition for the Federal cooperative college students. The social idea brought all the students together, those that contested were promised with different prizes to be won. The college is so filled up with talents, rappers, singers, dancers and comedians, the event at first seemed like and entertainment show, before the main steemup presentation took place. All the contestants gave their sleek performances leaving 3 contestants with 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions who were awarded with tokens of appreciation.

After the entertainment, @michealcj gave them a brief introduction to Steemit and Blockchain, he explained how valuable the steemit platform is and how it could change their lives, and how a lot of people are benefiting from it by not just earning but the ideas from different perspectives. @casweeney and @nmalove prepared the steemit presentation, I like how they cane together to make the STEEMUP KADUNA a success.

I like the way @ejemai really made them feel, he encouraged the performing artists and the dancers, showing them how they can put what they do on the steemit platform and earn, he also rewarded some contestants of the musical competition that were not students of the Federal Cooperative college. The interesting part of it all was that some students actually registered using the link they saw on the banners, but due to internet problems they ware unable to put down some posts, but @ejemai surprised each of them with a one month data plan, he gave them money to be able to subscribe to their preferred networks.

Now you know how it goes, we had to take a selfie for steemit, even when the selfie angles were hardto get))

Meanwhile, right before the even started, @ejemai and I had a long conversation, and he made me realise how the #project20millionnaija can be accomplished. The idea is wide and promising, there is no doubt, sooner than expected we will have more than 20 million Nigerians on the platform and the project will history to write about.

Good job man, we need as MANY meetups as we can!

Imagine when everyone of the 500,000 steem users all invited 10 people to steem we could be at 5 Million useres in just a few days or weeks!

In June when I joined steemit, I introduced more than 200 Nigerian youths to steemit before I got busy, and I regret not being able to control those circumstances that took my time.
We can all do better even if it's introducing 5 persons in a week, it will leave a remarkable effect on the platform.
Thanks for the upvote, you are a nice steemian to follow.

talk to @nairadaddy about the steem locator posts he made to see if we can really develop an AP that does it better, maybe a mobile app that lets u login with posting key so u can find NEAR BYE steemians to then Upvote or comment on, and it would be a GREAT special front end for STeem Nigeria or Steem Ghana, a front end that curates and promotes west african content by and for west Africans to help them support their own content with him their own local world region, so this front end coudk also be a simple busy.org clone that anyone can spin up, but i know you gusys first deserve some praise fr work youve done so far, BUIT if you and I all work 10 ytims harder we could NOT just be millionaires, but BILLIONAIRES man!

Its obvious that were all going to each have close to 1 million US dollars orth of crypto in ur lives, probly within 5 years, some 1 year some 2 some 5 some 10 maybe but that is fine! but WE cn becoe the BILLIONAIRES man! @fyrstikken started from scratch in 2014 and look how he has over 1 million dollars worth of steempower (and similar amount worth of golos, almost as big) and he had bought a lot of Steem at 7 cents in march at its BOTTOM

We can do similar things! Golos and EOS i believe are VERY cheap investments that youll see explode in value in similar ways to that or like btc when it was early so just remember that and know that its never too late to become a billionaire

Right from the day I joined steemit, I knew it was a game changer, at first I stopped spending time on social media that does notbpay me, now steemit got all my time.
I will link up with @Nairadaddy the app thing is a very nice idea, the locator will make curation and upvotes easy for steemians in thesane location.
With SBD at this price, we can actually do better, even if the SBD price is pegged with the USD.
There are much millionaires in steemit already, I count you as one, including myself and I can't wait to see how we get filty rich.

Nice meeting i wish we have someting like that here

Thank you so much.
But you can actually start your meetups in your city or where ever you are, find friends that have interest on Blockchain and come together to share ideas.
You will be the community leader and you will teach them how to earn on steemit.

#project20millionnaija is a reality. I'm sure by this time next year, you population will be 10 times

Yea bro, if we keep on with all the meetups, introducing the opportunity to our friends, family and even strangers, we would cross 20 million. hope your plans for your meetup is going well.

Yes it's going smoothly. Soon we'll have a nation wide meet up

That will be so nice, Steemians in Nigeria. coming together will be a freat thing.

Yeah that is the sprite. @ejemai has always been a lover of active individual he has also raise many and still counting @xpency i wish i made it KD was my home

You are right, I use to think he was some young dude, He got family and a nice person too, Steemup Kaduna was awesome, I would have regretted if I missed it.
