"Meg 2: The Trench" is entertaining and humorous. At times, it nearly seems like a parody, but overall, it takes the greatest components from the canon of ancient giants films and transforms them into a dynamite of amusement. It's bloody, violent, and grim at times, yet it also has a playful tone. If not an accident, that is an excellent route to proceed in.
