It officially costs extra to spend less

I will never get how some restaurants have such rules. You would think they would cater to the customer always, even if their diet is slightly different than what the chef is used to cooking. Even worse are the places that do not reduce the price whenever you remove something such as bacon from a veggie burger. It costs them less to make my meal, yet I am still paying the same price as somebody who orders with all of the toppings. What a conundrum.
