Oh come on. Who thought tracking down bitcoin users was previously practically impossible? Nobody in the crypto community who has ever taken a look at public transactions. The transparency and openness of the blockchain has at times even been a selling point. We might get good anonymity implementations for vanilla bitcoin soon, but the community in general has been pretty aware of the authorities being able to track users.
