I am a firm believer you should vote or flag whatever posts you want for any reason. I don't think it is abuse to use your own VP either way on a free market.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
