I'm used to that stare because we have a very similar big Maine Coon cat who gives me that look quite often. Yesterday after I dropped my tablet on his tail he did it for half an hour!
And I know what that cat is thinking too - he's trying to decide when to put his paw on the puppies head and dominate him a bit (yes I get that treatment too!)
