Bali's girl told us that this is ** the main male **, the alpha male of the Temple. Then we walked in silence. Everything was so unexpected in this story. I lost track of time and could not understand how long this episode lasted.

And suddenly I realized the real picture, what could have ended my amazing story.

On the gray fence of the temple sat a small monkey. She was some kind of sad and lonely. What in this was unusualy? She did not have a scalp ... The skull bones were outside.

I was grateful to the Lord for my "hair on my head". For the first time in my life, I really understood how nice it was when the wind whipped your hair.

Struck yet, and that all the way back, we were not bothered by any of the monkeys. They all ran away and looked at us from afar. An alien female, it is clear, is a taboo in a monkey flock. This is who, verily, observes the commandment "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife".

A dying little monkey stood before my eyes.

My husband tried to cheer me in any way. "Ksyusha! Remain in the temple. You will reign over monkeys. They will carry you expensive equipment, credit cards, money from all countries of the world! Ocean, sun, fresh air, freedom! Just a dream! You'll bathe in love like Dorothy Gale from Land of Oz".

Arriving at your hotel, we met a married couple from Moscow, they were our permanent guides in Bali. They lived and worked here, somewhere, in my opinion, a couple of years. The guys were in love with this island, their excursions were very interesting. More of these guides I have not met.

We told them this story. They said that monkeys sometimes jumped on people - this is not news. But that's what monkeys "marked," they heard about it for the first time.

I think my husband was lucky. His wife is ready to take into his "sacred family" of monkeys.

Well, what am I not Dorothy Gale? After all, she was also fond of the Tin Woodsman, and the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion!

Are these the monkeys hanging around in a temple in Ubud?

It was Alas Kedaton or "Sacred Forest". It is located north of Kediri in the village of Kukuh. There still live bats (or dogs, foxes). :-)

I see, thanks. I couldn't remember if I had been in this part of Bali. It was long time ago. :)

Awesome :)
