On this blog I will share a terrible story that happened six years ago where one of the volcanoes on the island of Java and one of the largest active volcanoes on the island of Java erupted.
This mountain is located on the border between Kediri Regency, Blitar Regency, and Malang Regency, approximately 35 km east of the center of Kediri City and 25 km north of the center of Blitar City.
Like Mount Merapi, Mount Kelud is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Since 1000 AD, Kelud has erupted more than 30 times, with the largest eruption measuring the 5 Volcanic Explosivity Index.
The last eruption occurred in September 2014 at around four in the morning. At the time of the incident there was no sunlight shining on it and it was as if the day had turned into night because it was covered in volcanic ash. the impact of volcanic ash to the city of Yogyakarta.
Fear and anxiety are felt by all Yogyakarta people because they do not know what events are happening. the streets are quiet and seem to be in a dead city.
And it was around ten o'clock in the morning, the sunlight began to look a little to dispel the fear and anxiety we felt. when we left the house it was seen that everything was covered in very thick volcanic ash.
As a record of the following events, I have included some photos that I took as evidence and memories of the dark history that happened in Indonesia six years ago.
I hope the story that I share on this blog makes us realize that the nature we are trampling on is one of the many creations of God and we as one of its creatures must take care not to damage it.
Thank you.
