**Dhanku** - The Paddys Hays HUT

Well for sure many of us, have enjoyed in child playing with Building Blocks, Tree houses etc, but to a surprise, i do not have those Luxury in my childhood, everyone are not born king to live a luxurious life.. :)

Recently, I visited my native place and seeing some usual old stuff brought my childhood memory back

The blurred image that I still get some time are playing in mud and playing in the open field. Playing local Indian sports have their own interest like gilli danda, kanche etc, hope everyone knows about it :) ....

....however the most interesting picture and mine all time favourite is during winter season at home town and that is making and staying inside Dhanku.

Wanna know What Dhanku is ??

We use to call it Dhanku, but basically it is made up of from the paddy hays. after harvesting of the paddy crop , generally we use to farm Rice, the crops hays were cut from the original field and brought to a clean place and kept altogether at one place.

Once the grains get separated from the paddy, the left over are kept idle in the place, we then use to hit the place and make small huts of all the available hays, the place inside remain warm even in winter. spending the maximum time inside is the best for all our siblings playing, sleeping eating , inside the Dhanku, we used to had fun and loads of enjoyment. Even at night we use to keep a lantern to make it a lively place. :)

If i remember we spent maximum time inside the place, out of any worries and with free mind, No Worries No Tension!
