One of the coolest apps to practice geography is Seterra Online. It offers all countries in the world but much more than that as well. Cities, Rivers, Mountains, Regions and Flags are all available there.
The best thing about Seterra, next to that it is entirely free to use, is the fact that it is made like a game. You are always racing against the time and compare your best times against others. If you combine this game with our shapes form our ongoing Countries and Capitals series than you can learn each country on a continent in no time. Try it out and look for familiar shapes.
This game is ideal to teach and play with your children. Soon they will outsmart you and know all countries in the world. It works like a charme and is a lot of fun.
We suggest you learn continent by continent. If you are just focusing on the shapes of each countries for starters you will be able to identify each country very quickly. If you want to pair it with the techniques that we are teaching every day, where you also learn the Major System number, the name of the country and the capital, then it will take longer.
Either way it is a great experience and incredibly peleasing when you know all countries. Don't be like those people who when ask cannot find certain countries on the map. Be smart, be educated. Steemit brings us closer together. Let us share the mutual respect by knowing where is what.
From all the available maps we suggest the World Map with all 193 UN member states. It is a bit small so use the browser in full screen mode and maybe even zoom a little bit.
There are also apps for iOS and Android available but the online version is much more complex.
