Introduction – Mene
Now, I had mentioned about Mene in an earlier bounty post and how it works. Obviously, not many would have seen it, so let me recap about Mene.
Mene was first introduced to me through a raffle that @nomadicsoul ran. I read about Mene and thought that the proposition was cool. As expected, I got speaking about it in the very next bounty post that I created. More about the bounty post and my experience in a bit. Let’s first look at what Mene is all about.
Mene is an organization which prides in bringing to the world beautiful gold or platinum jewelry of 24 K purity. This is in the form that these metals are found in nature. Now, traditionally, jewelry makers around the world resort to adding other metals to gold, and therefore, reduce the karatage below 24 K. Not to mention that the buyer gets a less pure version of gold and may even be paying more. So, this is what Mene intends to undo. In fact, their stated mission is as follows:
Menē crafts 24 karat gold and platinum investment jewelry™ sold by gram weight. By combining innovative technology, timeless design, and radical transparency, Menē restores the link between jewelry and savings.
The explanation is good enough, isn’t it? Yes, it is.
So why am I talking about it?
Here’s why.

Mene Referral and My Experience!
As I mentioned earlier, it was a great proposition, so I spoke about it in the very next bounty post I created. It was received well by others. Many did sign up and many had already signed up. So, in total, as compared to the sign – up of other bounties, it was relatively less but good enough to earn me a USD 40 through referral.
What is the referral all about you ask? Oh, it is one of the coolest. If I refer you, you and I both get USD 5. The more you refer the more you earn! As simple as that. But that’s not all. If any of your referees buy gold from Mene, then you stand to earn another USD 50 provided the items bought was worth more than USD 200. Well, here’s where my story comes in.
The other day, I had to buy a gold chain and while I was mulling going to the mall to get things done, I realized that there was something called Mene sitting on my laptop. Being the one recommending it, it was only natural for me to try it out. This was the proof of the pudding. It is one thing to speak about something and totally another to use and experience it.
So, I did it. I went for an 18-inch chain of USD 191. I had USD 40 of referral money (as explained earlier) and Mene had mailed me another USD 50 for the festive buying (a limited time offer). I took the plunge. And guess what, I liked the experience. The total cost of USD 191 and taxes of USD 9 was reduced to just USD 110. That is really a saving of USD 90 even by my native country’s term.
Take a look at the snapshot of the final value just before I had paid.
Now, I was anyway going to spend, so did not mind the USD 110. It was still nearly half the price of a similar chain anywhere else. So, this works!! FOR SURE!! 😊
I have seen posts of people actually squaring off the entire cost just by their referral money. Meaning – they had to pay USD 0. In fact, @goldmatters writes about Mene almost every day. You can get a glimpse of the experience people are having.

Will do @sayee. In fact, I want to have it checked too. But then being a company in the US and selling there too, they may not be involved in wrong doing. Time will tell:)
