The Mother Lode is an almost mythical concept of of a concentrated treasure beyond imagination.

Although the orginal term is to believed to have come from the Spanish term Veta Madre, commonly used in old Mexican mining , there have been other Mother’s Lode’s as well.

The most well known use of the term was in reference to a massive number of gold deposits discovered in the 1850’s during the California Gold Rush .

Beyond the orginal definition, the term Mother Lode is often used when seeking or discovering the ultimate treasure, huge piles of gold and untold riches.

When I think of the Mother Lode, I also think in terms of a rich or genius IDEA.
