MY I.Q. IS 119 I WANT TO BE A MEMBER OF MENSA, WILL STEEMIT HELP GET IT TO 140?

in mensa •  7 years ago

A friend of mine said i should test for Mensa because when i was younger my IQ was a little over 140..

Well i took the test, and i scored a 119...😠 maybe i should've did the full 40 minute length. I finish in 20 minutes.

It was still a great score, especially after 20 years, but i need to get my IQ up.

I would like the SteemIT community to help me get up my IQ 25-30 points so i can apply and become a member of Mensa. I will be writing articles on everyday to keep my brain and timing sharp and i will be starting to read more books, also about to start programming a little again.

In 6 months i think ill be ready to take the test over again and score even higher. I'll post updates on SteemIT a long the way, i could really use you guys support with this one. Thanks, and Steem ON!

Here is the proof of my Mensa test score. 119 is consider above-average.

I would recommend doing some puzzles with pattern recognition, vocabulary review, etc. You can find sites on-line to practice. What's nice is that once you're in, you don't have to retake the test ever! To remain an active member you have to pay annual dues, but if you stop you can always become active again later. And btw, you only need to score a 130 (top 2%) so you can do it!
Personally, it helps me to drink a Coke (or Pepsi) before a test too :)

@silver-saver im only 11 points away! i think being on SteemIT will help me there too

To increase your IQ, read quality books. Read constantly. Also, go for a jog before reading this has been proven to improve memory function.

Beyond that eat a healthy diet and sleep well. You can do it!

@klorb thank you for the advice! i am going to add those things to my regimen. I definitely need to start reading more, i used to read so much when i was younger.
